Software that
displays pop-up/pop-under advertisements not related to the website.
Annoyance
A trojan that
annoys the user but doesn't cause damage.
ANSI
Bomb
Character sequences
that reprogram specific keys on the keyboard. When ANSI.SYS is loaded,
ANSI bombs will display strange graphical effects or text messages
in an array of colours.
Anti-antivirus
Virus

Anti-emulation
Detect polymorphic
viruses, these change their virus signature (i.e., its binary pattern)
each time it replicates and infects a new file as to refrain from
being detected by an antivirus program.
Anti-heuristic
Virus writers
need to avoid having their code detected as a possible new virus
by heuristic detection. Thus they use anti-heuristic techiques.

Imagine creating
an antivirus program so viral that it can propagate in areas where
it is most needed. That would be an antivirus virus. Anti virus
software developers do not see this as a workable idea.
Appending

A virus that
appends a copy of its code at the end of its victim file.

Hackers that
want to hinder virus analysts from assessing and understanding the
virus will ensure it is armoured to make tracing it in a debugger
very difficult or impossible.

is a tool created to disable anti-virus software.
